But in some of the poorest areas, the prospects for recovery are less obvious.
Anna Firstley's house is unsafe, but she's angrier that she wasn't allowed to see what was left of it for three months.
Even worse, says Doreen Keeler, another survivor of the heavy storm, is that 100 days after the disaster, many who lost homes are still not getting the help they need.
People are in the same position as they were three months ago. They need answers. They need help.
U.S. lawmakers investigating what went wrong before, during, and after the heavy storm, heard one frustrating story after another from survivors who say the federal government forgot about the citizens of New Orleans.
Jane Hedges suggested racial prejudice had a hand in the government's response.
As she said: "The military, which has the great capability in moving entire cities, failed to move in and move out the people, the way dogs and fish had been moved out.And people were left to die, mostly poor, mostly people of color."

Day 1
Start your trip at about 2:45 pm in Beijing. It takes three hours and fifteen minutes to drive to Tanggu Port.
The ships between Tanggu Port and Dalian Port have drawn more and more visitors, and they are so large that cars can park in them.
Day 2
The ship arrives at Dalian Port at about 8 am. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the sunrise(日出). After checking in at the hotel, you can spend the rest of the day visiting some interesting places.
Day 3
The last day will give you a break at the indoor swimming pool(室内游泳池) in the hotel. Seawater comes into the pool every day. So even on cold days, your dream (梦想) of swimming in seawater can come true. Going back to Beijing, visitors need to get on the ship. It leaves at 6 pm.
Day 4
The ship returns to Tanggu Port at around 6 am. In another three hours, you can be back in Beijing.

听力原文:M: When do you want to leave for that seaside town, Martha?
W: I'm not sure yet, but maybe we should leave on Friday after work. It's a long drive, but I'd rather get there late Friday than midday Saturday. We have three days off this time, after all.
M: How long is it?
W: Five or six hours.
M: So you leave at 4:30 right after work and you will be there around 9:00 or 10:00?
W: I suppose so. And we could still have a good night's sleep.
M: What are you going to take?
W: Mostly shorts and T-shirts.
M: You don't think it's going to be a bit cold at night at the seaside?
W: Maybe. I'm going to take a sweater or a light coat--just in case.
M: Hope you have a good time there.

A: Very well, we have settled everything about this transaction, except the terms of payment.
B: As you know, we prefer the L/C 20 days in advance which expires 15 days after receiving the paking list.
A: I suppose you have known our financial standing and credit well now after our long-term cooperation. We know an irrevocable L/C can ensure that the seller gets payment duly. But, on the other hand, it would increase the buying cost. Therefore, could you consider giving us D/P this time?
B: I am sorry. But our rules only allow us to accept other terms of payment by L/C, although the buyer has had two or three transactions with us before.
A: But why not if you have known the buyer's credit after several deals?
B: We hope you can understand. We have got some serious lessons from the credulity. One of them was through D/P documentary collection. When the shipment worth US $50000 was effected, the buyer refused to make the payment. But we can do nothing with it.And that buyer had had one or two deals before this one.
A: I see.But the flexible terms of payment will definitely bring you more orders as well as facilitate the buyers' purchasing.
B: Sure.We don't mean we won't accept other terms of payment forever. As a matter of fact, we will do so when we have known well about the buyer's credit after a real long-term cooperation.
