Stratfordis a very interesting town, right in the centre of. The countryside aroundis pleasant, with its beautiful woods, green fields and quiet rivers.
The first place we visited was the house in the centre ofwhere Shakespeare was born. We saw the small desk that Shakespeare sat at when he went to school. One of the things we liked best was the garden behind the house, because we could see there many of the flowers, trees and plants that Shakespeare wrote about in his plays.
After we had visited Shakespeare's birthplace, we went to see the church where he was buried.
We had lunch in a very old hotel that was probably there in Shakespeare's time- Every room of the hotel had the name of one of Shakespeare's plays on the door—the "Hamlet" room, the "Romeo and Juliet" room, and so on.
After lunch we walked across the fields to the old cottage, about a mile out of, where Shakespeare spent most of his married life. The cottage is just as it was in Shakespeare's day. We saw the chairs where Shakespeare perhaps sat and thought about ideas for new plays, and we saw the plates from which he probably ate his dinner.
When we got back to our hotel in the evening, we were very tired, but we had enjoyed a wonderful day.

听力原文:M: Are you ready for the trip to museums in the Big Apple? I can hardly wait.
W: The Big Apple? What are you talking about?
M: The Big Apple is the nickname for New York City.
W: Oh, tell me, where does the nickname the Big Apple come from?
M: The jazz musicians of the 1920's are responsible for the name. When they played a concert in a city, they called that city an apple.
W: Oh, but I still can't understand why they called it an apple instead of calling something else like a cake?
M: I am not very sure about that. New York was the biggest city in the country, and the best place for a jazz concert. So the musicians called it the Big Apple.
W: I think it's not only a big apple for the musicians but a big apple for everyone who wants to find an opportunity in that city.
M: That's a good idea. Well, you are going to New York with us, aren't you?
W: Yes, I'm going to. I'm especially looking forward to seeing the Museum of Modern Arts.
M: And I heard that there's a special show of 20th century American Painters there.
W: Amazing! New York is such a fascinating place. And it even has an interesting nickname.
M: Want to have a bite of the Big Apple, don't you?
W: Sure.

I'm not going to take long -- just long enough to give you an overview of developments so that we can discuss the implications. Do interrupt me if you've got any questions or comments. So, let's start by looking at trends over the last ten years. On this first transparency you'll see two pie charts -- the first represents the milk product market ten years ago, the second, how it looks now. There are two outstanding features: firstly, the total market has grown substantially from 280 million litres to 440 million litres; secondly, the actual sector share of the. tour main milk products has changed radically; the full milk sector has fallen dramatically from 74% to just 53% -- here on the pie chart; the skimmed milk sector has rocketed from only 12% to 40% , reflecting the weight of publicity directed towards low fat diets. The other two sectors are long life milk and milk drinks. It's interesting to see that the long life sector has risen from 5% to 13% -- a significant rise considering initial consumer resistance to this type of milk. And finally, the milk drinks have remained pretty stable, just increasing by 1%. So the two big winners of the decade are skimmed milk and long life milk.
Now, what's really important is the likely trends over the next ten years in these four sectors. If you look at this graph you will see the same trends I just outlined for the four sectors. Beyond this line we've plotted the anticipated trends over the next ten years. We forecast that the full milk sector will decline more gradually over the next five years to around 40% and then fall a further 2'% by the end of the 10-year period.
&8226;Look at the notes about the key trends in the milk drinks market.
