One morning I was walking in the forest and suddenly saw a lion hidden in the grass, less than three metres away. With a terrible roar(吼叫), he leaped(跳跃)toward me. I aimed my gun at it and shot. But I had no practice in shooting at moving objects at such a short distance. I didn't hit him. Only by the grace(恩典)of God, the lion made such a long leap that he went flying over my head and landed five metres away from me. Just then another hunter came running and the lion quickly ran away from me.
I returned to the camp and began to practise shooting at moving objects at short distances. It was going well and I was anxious to find some animal as my target. 听力原文: When Mr. Finch retired, he bought a small cottage in a seaside village. (32)The cottage was built in the late sixteenth century, but it was in very good condition. Mr. Finch was looking forward to a quiet life, but in the summer holidays he got a shock. Hundreds of tourists came to the seaside village. (33)Mr. Finch's cottage was the most interesting building in the village and many of the tourists came to see it. From morning till night there were tourists outside the cottage. They kept looking through the windows and many of them even went into Mr. Finch's garden. This was too much for Mr. Finch. (34)He decided to drive the unwelcome visitors away, so he put up a notice in the window. The notice said, "If you want to satisfy your curiosity, come in and look around. Price 5 pounds." Archimedes is well-known for one specific (精确的) idea that he came up with. "Archime des' principle" tells us that a solid object which is immersed in a liquid is pushed up by a force which is equal to the weight of the water that moves. For example, if you put a piece of wood and a piece of metal of the same size in water, only the wood will float. Both the wood and metal move the same amount (量) of water, but the water moved by the wood weighs less than that of the water moved by the gold. It is believed that Archimedes discovered this principle when the King of Syracuse asked him to solve a problem. The King wanted to know if his crown (皇冠) was pure gold or a mixture of gold and silver. The King, of course, did not want to melt his crown to find out. The idea came to Archimedes as he lowered himself into his bath. He noticed how the water spilled out of the tub. He decided to use the same idea for the crown. He knew that a gold crown immersed in water would weigh more than the one made of silver. The experiment was done and the goldsmith was proved guilty of trying to cheat the King.
The best title for this passage is ______
A.Archimedes
B.Archimedes's principle
C.A Gold and Silver Crown
D.The King of Syracuse
